tap tap, is this thing on?
I’ve had this account for years now. It just sits here. Periodically, I get a little email from Substack to nudge me.
I originally planned to use this newsletter for Wicked Grounds, my kink education business. Three years of disuse underscore how resistant I’ve been to that plan. Wicked Grounds has no need for another social media account, and I love the email platform we already have.
For decades, I’ve kept my musings about kink culture in various blogs and writings, and yes, even a LiveJournal back in the day. When I periodically revisit my writings (dating to 2006 and earlier), I realize that my kink education principles have deep, radical roots. As I look forward to the new classes I’m building and the books I’m writing, I realize that I again need an outlet to work out ideas and stretch my thoughts.
So here we are.
This is: a place for me to get raw, consider new ideas, test theories, and occasionally rant about what’s on my mind culturally. I need to be writing, and I’m going to be more accountable for hitting my word count if I’m writing for an active audience rather than a hypothetical future book.
This isn’t: a space related to Wicked Grounds. While that is my platform for teaching and growing a larger part of kink education culture, this Substack will reflect my personal views. This should not be considered a reflection on Wicked Grounds as an organization, and I do not intend to talk about Wicked Grounds as a business. If you want that content, there are many other places to get it!
Do you have questions about what it is that we do? I’d love to hear them and explore them here.
xoxo
